An Alphabet for Alina

This book is a collaboration between Peterjon Skelt and the writer Frances Presley, created over the years 2007-2012, with a text and facing-page drawing for each letter. It may start with A for Apple but takes some diversions en route to Z for ziggurats, Zorro and zips, including a Mushussu dragon and a Green Man, who is of course, actually a Green Woman.

“Here Presley and Skelt have created for Alina a vade mecum for a loved god-daughter and daughter, a gift for life that will continue to enchant, amuse and guide from alpha to omega. Whilst many of their references have been from their own childhoods and they are passing on those histories; other references, from myth to Max Ernst, abound.” ROUNDYHOUSE
